Instalation problems on Windows 2000 SP4
HI
I can't get the plugin to work on one particular PC running Windows 2000 SP4.
Other PCs on the network are OK ( a mixture of XP and 2000).
In Preferences>Plugins, the PHP checkbox is blank and when clicked gives an error of "PHP can't be enabled"
This is on FileMaker 8.5 Pro.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
Simon
Instalation problems on Windows 2000 SP4
Hello Simon, Are you using plug-in version 1.0.0? If so, it might be worth a quick try to see if our 1.5 beta version works (see home page for download link).
My guess is that there's a missing dll of some sorts but so far we've only seen this in FM9 (this was due to a certain dll file that was no longer included in v9).
If you're using 1.0.0, make sure that the php5ts.dll file is installed in the FileMaker application folder.
It's a long shot but you can also check file permissions to make sure they are the same as other plug-ins that you may be using. Let me know how it goes.

Micah
Version_8_Runtime_DLLs.zip
Simon,
I found some DLLs that you may possibly be missing on your Windows 2000 machine. You can try downloading these and installing them in the FileMaker application folder (same folder as the FileMaker.exe file).
Let me know if this helps.

Hi Micah
Still having no luck with this.
Using 1.5 now and the symptoms are unchanged.
Other plugins are loading fine and the file permissions are identical.
I have used Dependency Walker and the only DLL dependencies it complains about are FMWRAPPER.DLL (of course), MPR.DLL and APPHELP.DLL.
On an XP machine where the plugin loads correctly, MPR.DLL is also reported as missing so I guess that can't be the problem.
Any other ideas?
Thanks
Simon
Still no luck
Hello Simon,
Hmmm, so you have some Windows 2000 machines that are working? I'm just trying to figure out if we'd have any luck reproducing this here or if it's isolated to a particular machine. Are you logging on with an administrator level account?
Regards,
Micah
Hi Micah Yes, all Windows
Hi Micah
Yes, all Windows 2000 and XP machines working except this one.
Logging in as administrator.
I can see no difference between this machine and the other 2000 machines.
Regards
Simon
