FileMaker 10/Leopard Server Installation

I'm attempting to run a script with a server schedule using the PHP plugin installed on the server. The server is Mac OS X 10.5 running FileMaker Server Advanced 10. I've placed the plugin in /Library/FileMaker Server/Database Server/Extensions and placed a PHP Support folder in the same location with a license.txt file. Running a script that simply sets a field to the results of a PHP script works when run locally, but scheduling the script to run on the server produces only a question mark, which would indicate to me that the server isn't seeing the plugin.

What is the solution?

Thanks,
Chuck

Hello Chuck,

Did you restart FileMaker server after installing the plug-in? If not, this is required in order for the plug-in to be "seen".

Once FMS is restarted, you should see the plug-in on the "Database Server" screen in the FileMaker Server Admin Console. Make sure to check the box to "Enable FileMaker Server to use plug-ins" and then of course you have to make sure to enable the PHP plug-in.

Perhaps you've already done this so let me know if you're still having trouble.

Micah

It looks like restarting the server worked. I didn't see any documentation saying that this was necessary, but considered it might be, but I had to wait to restart the server until everybody was off for the day. Thanks for the response. I appreciate the quick answers.

Thanks,
Chuck
