PHP Plugin, FM 10 and Mac OS X

I run a Filemaker 10 Application and the SmartPill PHP Plugin on a Mac (OS X 10.5.8) - Error Message: "Plugin not correctly installed"

The Setup: Filemaker Pro Advanced Version 10.0.0.3 / PHP Plugin Version 1.5 (2008), but also tried the most recent Version 2.0.1 - same error / tried Mac OS X 10.5.8 and OS X 10.6

I put the PHP Plugin File php.intel.fmplugin in the folder /Programs/Filemaker10.../Extensions.
There is no Folder "Filemaker" here /user/user name/Library/Application Support/

On starting the FM Application there is an Error Message "PHP Plugin not correctly installed...."

The PHP Plugin is shown in the list of plugins (FM Settings / Plugins), so the path seems to be correct. Since the instalaltion options are very limited ("..copy to the folder...") and the installation guide (PDF) only covers FM 8.5 and FM 9 i have no idea how to solve the problem.
All help is appreciated.

Regards
Marc

Hello Marc,

Hmmm, it sounds like the plug-in is installed correctly and I think you're saying that you can see the plug-in listed in the FileMaker preferences so I'm not quite sure where that message is coming from. Do you get the message when you just start FileMaker or is it when you open a particular file? If it's a particular file, there may be an opening script that's checking to see if the plug-in is registered and perhaps that's where the message is coming from. You could also try running the examples in the Testbed.fp7 file that's included with the download and see if those run. Keep in mind that the plug-in will only run for 30 minutes without being registered.

Micah

Hello Micah, thank you for

Hello Micah,

thank you for your swift reply.

Of course you are right, the error message results from a starting script where the plugin paramterers are polled. there seemed to be a problem with registering the plugin correctly, which is done automatically by a script upon starting the program.
I just deleted the existing PHP plugin from the extensions folder and re-copied the PHP plugin (the older version) there, started the software an lo and behold: no error message.

interestingly enough, we never encountered the problem on PCs running MS Windows, just now with three Macs - fodder for the eternal mac-pc discussion :-) i hope not.

anyway, your help is greatly appreciated, it put us on the right track. thanks and greetings from the sunny lake of constance!
Marc
