Progress Bars in FM11 cause issues

I have a solution that has custom progress bars all over the place while a script step is performing an import. Works like a charm until FM11. I initially thought I had some serious flaw I missed, but it was only happening in FM11.

step 1: open progress bar
step 2: import XML
step 3: close progress bar

If I comment out step 1 and 3, the import executes. If I don't, no import. It's like the actual progress bar is prohibiting FileMaker from recognizing what is going on until it's closed.

I either need a work-around, a fix, or we can't migrate to FM11 - which we're planning on doing in the next 2 months.

Test version 2.0.3 available

We're getting close. There's a new version available for testing. The only issue we've found with this version is that the progress bar looses focus during script execution (for example if your script opens a progress bar and then performs various steps, incrementing the progress bar along the way, you'll see the focus switch back to your FileMaker window). Although it isn't quite right yet, it does solve the timeout issue.

Hi Micah, I just realized

Long time! Thanks for this. I looked around and didn't see anything related to this, but glad you knew about it.

Just downloaded, and the new plug-in doesn't seem to have any issues with the progress bars in FM11.

I was able to resize the dialog window and also close it...

FM11 Progress Bar Issue for Mac OS

I you have time to report back with your results, that'd be helpful.

This hasn't been officially released but it will be as long as no issues are found.
